Tolland Selectmen approve police cruiser purchase, opt out of early voting

Tolland Selectmen unanimously advanced the FY27 Police budget and authorized a $92,000 patrol cruiser purchase from the existing Cruiser Account. Police Chief Scott Bergeron presented the $31,355.63 budget request, a $156 increase from FY26, tied to salary alignment with other town departments. The board also unanimously voted to opt out of early voting for the 2026 town election and rejected a WPOA proposal to install gates on Beetle Road based on legal counsel.
