Selectmen approve tax agreement for solar array, hire equipment operator

Tolland Selectmen approve solar tax agreement and equipment operator hire. The board unanimously adopted a 20-year tax agreement for a CVE solar array on Colebrook River Road valued at $42,675 annually, presented by Board of Assessors member Jessica Kelmelis. In a second unanimous vote, the board extended an employment offer to Steven Leonard as Equipment Operator at $25 per hour with a six-month probationary period.

The board reaffirmed its decision to keep damaged vehicle TC1 out of service and voted to have cruiser 3701 evaluated at Sarat Ford. DPW Superintendent Kate Donovan projected at least $38,400 in additional cruiser fees over seven months for Eversource pole upgrade detail work.
